Do I need an account?
No. RC Model Utility requires no sign-in and works fully offline. All your data is stored locally on your device.
Do I need a RynthoraCG scale to use the app?
No. The scale is a bonus, not a requirement. Every feature — model profiles, control surfaces, servo inventory, CG limits, checklists, flight log, and weather — works without it. With a RynthoraCG scale on your Wi-Fi network, the app additionally shows live weight and center-of-gravity readings and saves them as weighing sessions.
The app can’t find my RynthoraCG scale
- Make sure your iPhone/iPad and the scale are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Check that the app has Local Network permission: iOS Settings → Apps → RC Model Utility → Local Network.
- In AP mode, connect your phone to the scale’s own Wi-Fi network first.
- Power-cycle the scale and reopen the app.
Weather shows no data
Weather needs an internet connection and a location. Either allow location access (“While Using the App”) in iOS Settings, or pick your flying field manually in the app — no permission needed for that.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
Everything lives on your device and is included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer). Deleting the app deletes its data, so back up or export before removing it.
